About me

I’m Maksym Storchak, a Senior Backend Engineer from Ukraine with more than eight years of experience building and evolving product platforms in PHP and Python.

My work spans backend architecture, asynchronous processing with RabbitMQ, SQL optimization, and observability. I enjoy taking a problem from research and solution design through implementation, code review, and testing.

What I work with

• Backend: PHP, Symfony, Yii, Python, and aiohttp.
• Data and messaging: MySQL, Redis, Memcached, and RabbitMQ.
• Architecture: modular systems, domain-driven design, REST APIs, and decomposing monoliths into asynchronous services.
• Quality and delivery: PHPUnit, pytest, integration testing, Docker, Linux, GitLab CI, and Jenkins.
• Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, and VictoriaMetrics.

I’m also exploring AI-assisted engineering with Codex, Claude, MCP servers, and reusable agent skills, including workflows around Jenkins, Jira, and Grafana.
